All Planes On - All
Overview
All Planes On All shows all work planes for every top-level component in the active assembly. Nested components inside subassemblies are not processed.
Use this when you need full construction-plane visibility across the main assembly but do not want to traverse the entire nested hierarchy.
How It Works
- Iterates through all top-level component occurrences in the active assembly.
- For each component document:
- Sets ShowPlanes to True (if present).
- Iterates all work planes and sets them visible.
- Updates the document.
- Component rules may override visibility for specific planes.
Usage Instructions
- Open the target assembly.
- Click All Planes On All in the Configure panel.
- Review top-level components to confirm all work planes are visible.
Troubleshooting
- Nested components did not change: This command only affects top-level components.
- Some planes remain hidden: Rules or representations in a component may override visibility (see example below).
- Performance impact: Showing many planes can clutter the view and slow graphics. Use an “Off” command when finished.
